Trujillo
Birthplace of Conquistadors (45 min from Cáceres)
Trujillo is the birthplace of Francisco Pizarro, the conquistador who led the Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire. The iconic statue on horseback in Plaza Mayor was sculpted by American artist Charles Rumsey. Trujillo was also used in House of the Dragon - its castle and main square appear in key scenes!
